PROJECT DESCRIPTION
This project aims to develop new job market in Tajikistan by developing skills in Cybersecurity through providing scholarships to candidates from Tajikistan with the right pre-requisite skills.
WEF initiated a Proof of Concept (POC) in Tajikistan to start a 10-course Cyber Security Certification Program using the online EdX platform in collaboration with UCA- SPCE. The objective is to create a new certification course and for the institution to employ the certified candidates to teach certification cyber security courses to students with pre-requisite skills.
Mission
The project followed the following execution plan:
• Identify 3-5 qualified candidates with teaching skills and IT background, willing to certify themselves and then teach at learning institutions in the country for 2 years.
• Work in-parallel with institutions of learning (university and continuing education) within the country to agree to initiate the emerging skills certified courses in their institutions and employ the candidates trained under WEF program.
• Connect the new emerging skills certified graduates with IT services and consulting companies.
