Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) in Chitral, Pakistan

The Early Childhood Learning Center initiative in Booni, Chitral, launched by the Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA in collaboration with the Foundation to Empower Students (FES), is transforming early education in northern Pakistan. This impactful project is designed to address the urgent need for accessible and high-quality early learning environments within the community.

Each Early Childhood Learning Center provides a safe, nurturing, and stimulating space for children aged 3 to 5. These centers focus on early childhood development by encouraging cognitive, emotional, and social growth through structured learning activities and age-appropriate educational resources. With the capacity to support 25 to 30 children per center, the program ensures that young learners get a strong head start for lifelong success.

A key component of the Early Childhood Learning Center project is the empowerment of local educators. WEF and FES partner with expert training organizations to provide comprehensive professional development, equipping teachers with the skills needed to deliver effective early childhood education. By investing in educator training, the project not only ensures the sustainability of the centers but also fosters a long-term culture of learning and development across the Booni region.
