Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA Updates
Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA is honored to announce a major milestone in its mission to expand access to high-quality education worldwide. The organization has received a transformational $1.27 million gift from the Herzing Family, distinguished educators and long-standing champions of accessible education.
This extraordinary contribution establishes a perpetual education endowment that will provide sustainable, long-term funding for Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA programs. Annual distributions from the endowment will support student scholarships, teacher training and professional development, and essential educational equipment, ensuring lasting educational impact for generations.
The endowment is dedicated to advancing education in Chitral, a remote mountainous region where students and educators face significant geographic and resource-related challenges. Through this support, Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA will continue strengthening local schools, empowering teachers, and creating new pathways to opportunity for underserved students.
For decades, the Herzing family has shaped the global education landscape through institutions such as Herzing University in the United States and Herzing College in Canada. Their educational legacy extends across North America, South Asia, and Central Asia, helping learners gain practical skills, economic mobility, and lifelong opportunities.

“We are deeply grateful to the Herzing family for this extraordinary expression of trust and shared purpose,” said Kamal Daya, President and Co-Founder of Worldwide Education Fund. “This gift strengthens our long-term sustainability and expands our ability to serve the people of Chitral with excellence for generations to come.”
Worldwide Education Fund (WEF), USA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Federal Tax ID: 81-2135633). 100% of all public donations directly support the implementation, operation, and maintenance of WEF projects and programs. All administrative expenses are fully covered by the Founders, Connie and Kamal Daya Gift Fund of the Dallas Foundation, ensuring transparency and maximum donor impact.
This historic gift represents more than financial support, it is a powerful investment in education as a pathway to opportunity, equity, and sustainable global development.
