Project Description:
The program’s objective is to provide training opportunities for the youth in Gilgit Baltistan, equipping them with digital skills essential for engaging in the gig economy. This initiative unfolds through a sequence of workshops focused on fostering digital competencies, empowering the youth in the targeted region to establish new sources of income.
In collaboration with Green Berry Digital (GBD), WEF is dedicated to creating job opportunities for 1000 young individuals in Gilgit Baltistan. These opportunities include freelancing roles or positions in local and international companies, all made possible through the acquisition of digital skills. The aim is to enhance the employability of youth in the region and contribute to their economic empowerment.
Current Impact:
22 skilled individuals from Gilgit Baltistan possess the required qualifications: 10 hold degrees in Accounting and Finance, while 12 have graduated in Digital Marketing.
