Inauguration of 5th In-School Language Lab, Chitral Pakistan

WEF is pleased to unveil its 5th In-School Language Lab, known as The Alan G. Ferland In- School Language Lab, generously sponsored by Austin and Debra Ferland in loving memory of their son. This new addition is located at Frontier Corps Public School (FCPS) Junalikoch, a small village in Upper Chitral, Pakistan. This low-income school is essential for educating students from remote villages who face transportation challenges and invest their dedication, underscoring the need for quality education to make their efforts worthwhile.

The establishment of the 5th lab in Upper Chitral continues to greatly increase our impact. Now benefiting 1500 students, 120 teachers, and 8 language facilitators.

This success would not have been possible without the generosity of our donors and the hard work and dedication of the WEF/FES team. We look forward to expanding the number of labs and ECD centers in 2024-2025. We will need greater ongoing support to extend our outreach, utilizing English Language Skills Training as a means to break the cycle of generational poverty and foster prosperity.
