Launched in 2023, the Rising Stars Undergraduate Scholarship Program removes financial barriers that prevent talented young people from pursuing higher education and reaching their full potential.

Funded by the Sadiq Ali Family Foundation and administered by the Worldwide Education Foundation (WEF), the program provides deserving students from Tajikistan with access to world-class undergraduate education at leading regional universities.

Scholarship recipients are selected through a competitive process that identifies academically promising students with strong leadership potential and a commitment to contributing to their communities.

The program currently supports students enrolled at:

  • American University of Central Asia (AUCA), Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan
  • University of Central Asia (UCA), Khorog, Tajikistan

Beyond financial support, the scholarship program seeks to nurture a new generation of educated professionals, community leaders, and change makers who will contribute to social and economic development in Central Asia.

Impact

  • 52 scholarship recipients supported at AUCA.
  • 14 scholarship recipients supported at UCA.
  • 66 students provided access to quality undergraduate education.
  • Creating pathways to leadership, professional success, and community impact for talented youth from underserved backgrounds.

By investing in promising students today, the Rising Stars Undergraduate Scholarship Program is helping build a stronger, more educated, and more prosperous future for the region.
