We are happy to share an update on our English Language Skills Training for Teachers initiative, a joint effort between the Worldwide Education Fund of The Dallas Foundation (WEF), USA, and Bridge Education Group.
13 teachers have successfully completed the second phase of training, marking significant progress. Initially, we supported 08 educators from the remote valley of Booni, Chitral in Northern Pakistan. They underwent a three-month, self-paced, tutor-guided Micro Credential TEFL certification program, generously sponsored by Bridge Education Group.
These teachers enhanced their skills with the help of our partners at Foundation to Empower Students (FES) in Pakistan, who provided vital technology support. FES facilitated a platform for participants to gather and discuss course content, fostering a supportive learning environment. This collaborative approach has been invaluable, offering mutual encouragement and enhancing the learning journey for all involved.
Participants have provided positive feedback. “The program equipped us with valuable techniques for learning correct pronunciation, which motivated us to actively engage in the learning process,” says Fariha Afsar.
Encouraged by these early successes, we remain committed to our partnership with Bridge Education Group. Together, we aim to extend this opportunity to 100 teachers by 2025, furthering our impact on education.
